ADVANTAGES u00a0
The area has some good upcoming residential projects by RNA NG Builders, Lodha Group, Shraddha Developers, etc. some of these are luxury projects.
A new flyover is being built near Ashok Van on the Western Express Highway that will ease traffic during the peak hours.
Dahisar has better pedestrian sidewalks, wider and smoother roads. In a couple of months
the area is soon said to have India's largest mall - Orchid Ozone by DB Realty, which is currently under construction
Also chawls are now being demolished and replaced by good residential projects by developers and academic institutions like St Francis.
The Surat- Dahisar Highway construction that has been going on since almost two years in said to finish in the next few months. The highway will be converted into six lane from the present four, which will be beneficial for frequent road travellers by road from Dahisar to Surat.u00a0

DISADVANTAGES
u00a0
Dahisar doesn't have as many posh malls, restaurants or hang-out spots as other Western suburbs.
u00a0
The upcoming commercial and luxury residential projects have considerably hiked property rates in Dahisar and it's no longer a destination for the middle class only
Water pollution needs to be controlled in the area. Many buildings have sprung up on the riverbank, which lack proper municipal sewage disposal systems and discharge untreated sewage into the Dahisar river, which in turn emits foul odour.u00a0u00a0
